10.12.2011 where the Moon meets the sun, the Bird and Bee become one

 It was all unexpected for both of us. Although perhaps news have already been flooding internet about an full lunar eclipse on 10.12.2011. Bird received a text from his sister about an eclipse going on as both of us pack up to leave work from Vivo. Both of us had a long day and as we walked along the overhead bridge to bus interchange for me to catch a bus home. Bird popped out his head to look above for the eclipse. The thing is I heard about eclipse but never thought it could really be witnessed here in our little island with naked eyes. To our amazement, we found the eclipse going on like a little grey dot that somehow seems to turn a little orange colour. We are both in awe! It is beautiful! Of course especially knowing somewhere out there what we are witnessing is actually the straight alignment of the moon, earth and the sun and all reflected as one here. 

 And to the utmost respect to iphone, Bird actually managed to capture the beautiful eclipse as Bee was looking out into the night of Christmas lights, remembering how this place is kind of where we connect in a special way during last year Christmas season. 

The flowers at night are beautifully rested along the overhead bridge. 

Bird pulled me to a corner of the bridge, mumbling something like "since it's such a beautiful night...."

and gave me a big hug as I looking into the eclipse which is now getting brighter, beaming at us. 

I am really appreciative and so so thankful to be able to share such beautiful moment with a man I love and connect so deeply. And just at this moment, Bird knelt on his knees and grin at me saying "Marry me" WOW! as he pulled out a tiny ring from my right finger which he gave me sometime ago and put it right back. haha of course Bird is confused which hand to wear an engagement ring. It's all unexpected for both of us. It just feels right. Bird stood up and we hug! and told me that he actually bought a ring which intended to give me as an engagement ring but of course which he didn't bring! haha and a moonstone bracelet which he already wore it on my hands during a movie sometime ago. 

Bird being Bird as a quiet nature is definitely great at giving little surprises. Unlike Bee who usually just cant wait to share joy and surprises which kind of make the surprises so outright open! haha Well here's us, our differences and our similarities and most of all, our souls as one just like the moon, earth and sun.

As a woman, I have been imagining all kind of ways to be proposed and how I would like to be surprised and all the props and people that come along in it. But on this night, when Bird finally proposed to me. It's something that I have never imagine. On a bridge, under the eclipse, just the two of us, no diamond ring, no bouquet of flower, me in my shorts and tank top. Bird proposed to Bee. 

And at that moment, all those "standard protocols" of a proposal doesn't matter anymore. Because in front of me, it's someone who I love and can't wait to spend my life with, creating our own homes and making our dreams into reality. 

Just about a year ago, I caught myself feeling something for Bird as we watch sunrise on Mt Faber, right opposite of where we stood last night. I was rambling with Bird that hey! we have come one round as one now just like the moon and the sun who finally meet. I love the sun and the moon and this day definitely is the perfect moment for us. 

And here's alittle funny bit; I ask Bird so don't he want to wear the ring on my left hand.. (Of course, didn expect him to down on knees again) But he did! awww I have got myself a very lovely Bird! hehe

We went to minimart because Bird want to show me a magazine which he seen earlier. He couldnt find it. And there I was pulling out a magazine n reading out the title on the cover page! And voila! that's the magazine Bird wanted to show me. On the cover is a title; A matter of time! We both felt it was perfect!!! since on this special night really feels like it's a right time. So we got the magazine as a momento! hehe

We went to Mcdonald to grab a drink and there is Bird combining the date 10.12.2011 to see if it forms 8 in numerology and it does! Exactly 8!!

And as we flipped look at our magazine, we suddenly saw this sticker of vendor code for the magazine and the numbers look so familiar! 8120! Our birthday falls on 1802 and here's a 8120, so if you read from the center of this set of number and connecting it to the last number of the set, it does read out; 1802! hehe yeah yeah!! it's amazing!!! hehe We are in awe!!!! I have told Bird before that marriage is about two complete person coming together to form one circle together; to be one. And here's our number showing us the round hehe..

 oh and as I wake up, Bird sent me a series of photos and article and we realise it is a rare sight of lunar full eclipse that we have witnessed last night. Where the Moon and the Sun are exactly 180 degree apart!! 180!!! hehehe!!!
