Had a great weekend full of activities with Bird.
Just browsing through pictures we took and can't wait to share and
make a note here to remember these beautiful moments.
So here I shall do a recap before posting pictures of little moments in between:
1. We had a hair cut day!
(Yes! we finally had our hair cut after weeks of rambling about it. And hmm I kind of love my new short neat hairstyle though it isn't quite what I was expecting it to be. Refreshing. Convenient. Simple.)
2. We had dinner at a cheese restaurant designed with fish tanks surrounding each seats. Food so so, but interesting to see fishes swimming around.

(A place that means a lot to me. A home where I grew up, first went to school, library, play etc. A town that holds great memories. A town that once was bustling, but now left behind till future development. Will anyone remember this place 30 years down the road? A town that has lived its glory! I still remember so vividly how my mum would bring me to the wet market, me climbing the stairs, look through the metal grills and peeping in at my grandma selling porridge. I still remember the taste of the porridge, noodle, bee hoon, glutinous rice and how we would go there every weekend even when we moved out of this town. Me enjoying my porridge with egg while my dad helping out at the store (though most of the time, he was just reading papers away hehe) and my mum would go market. Aww! And I would be playing in my own little world, walking on the raised up pavement in one line, trying to balance my way. Opposites are old flats with elderly playing chess under the shades...I really miss this place so much. It's kind of saddening to now see what it has become. My heart was shouting out.."Please please remember this place.." to whoever who once live and love here.
I remember how mum will bring me to school and buy me colorful m and m lookalike candies that are wrapped up nicely in a number '8' shape packaging after school. We will occasionally go to the departmental shop nearby or get donuts from the bakery. Aww I miss these moments. This is how much I treasure these moments here.
Every tiny little pieces)
4. We took many pictures in this now quiet town. Capturing the last glimpse of it before it transformed into another typical mall and estate.
5. I'm thankful that I have Bird and his little nephew to walk through the town with me.
Perhaps leaving a mark on my life a transition. My new stage of life.

"I learn to appreciate memories and at the same time learning to let go of memories that been holding me back."
I learn to be acceptance of life's changes, appreciate it, living and breathing it all with love.
I open my heart.
6. We finally play MONOPOLY cards with the guidance of little nephew (our star of the day)
at my favourite Mcdonald! oh and we played Frisbee too!!
I'm a rich woman! |
Happiest moment = finally catch the Frisbee in my hands (Not for long though) |
7. Photo taking in bus on our way to the mall.
Have Sushi dinner and window shopping. Took many pictures of our star!

And this kind of mark the end of our Sunday.
8. Public holiday Monday. Always feels good to have a weekday holiday.
9. Woke up late. Supposed to meet Bird earlier to laze around, read a book at Starbucks, but I ended up got hooked on doing up a banner for the blog. And as usual, my mind is sometimes wired up to do many things at the same time! As I was doing the banner, I have this strong urge to cook for Bird!
And so after doing some house chores, I went ravaging through my fridge looking for ingredients for my stir-fried macaroni with sausage and mushroom. Went to the market. Bought the ingredients and it's show time! I was home alone, slicing the mushroom, listening to birds chirping aloud from outside. It's quite a nice experience.
10. Kitchen dancefloor with popping mushrooms and hopping tomatoes.
I poured oil in the wok and wow! Oil spurted everywhere!
My dad came home and thought I was crazy! But we are both quite the same! He stirred the ingredients so hard that mushrooms went popping out of the wok! And ingredients starts to stick on the wok! haha it's fun to cook with not so good cook sometimes! haha
11. Finally Dinner ready! But I'm way late in meeting Bird.
My home cook stir fried macaroni! |
Never see anyone eating my cooking so enthusiastically:D |
Love those sparkling eyes! |
12. Spread out our dinner boxes at the open space outside the library, sat on the stairs and enjoying looking at Bird savoring my home cook macaroni! First time ever, I see light on the face of someone tasting my cooking! And it feels honestly true! I'm happy:)
13. I was imagining us eating in a cafe during winter in Europe! Cold breeze.. smell of xmas butter cookies, old grandma smiling at us, offering us her piping hot home baked butter cookies from a big tray! Children singing Xmas carols, people dressing up as Santa Claus. Everyone is happy, smiling, giving:) Fat birds eating on the sidewalk. Us, Bee and Bird side by side, cuddling together, breathing in the moment.
14. We watched a movie. A comedy.
15. Took a walk, window shopping.
