Sentiments on perspectives and the little island I live

"We are all small individuals in a small island. What gives us growth is our unity. What makes us unique is our harmony. I would rather show gratitude that to complain. I would rather praise than to curse." - my sentiment on this island I live in and guess this applies to everything we do or experience in life. It's easy to complain or put blame, but it will just lead to anger and disgust. Praise and appreciate what have been done for us, we will see the beautiful side of the coin. Everything has its pros and cons, mostly depending on the perspective we take on. And whether the decisions made is for ourselves or for others. A decision made for ourselves is good because we are clear of our stand and belief. A decision made for others could serve greater good and form a greater energy. An energy that bring forth generation of lights and love. I would love to witness this:)
People fight for truth and independence, like as though it's a natural instinct. Or maybe it is in our conditioned mind. The question is what are we going to do with this new independence. I came across a few quotes which I thought were beautifully relevant to the topic;
“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.” - Mahatma Gandhi
"The real truth lies within"
