Grateful for a chance like this

Yes. A chance I been waiting for a long time. A moment where we could connect n cherish just these little moments together. Bro and dad and me. Guess my vacation is a fulfilling one with bonding time with my loved ones at home. This is priceless.

First with Bird

Just read an article from the change blog..and it makes me feel grateful for who I'm, what I have and people I met in my life. As I'm sharing this with Bird, I realise I have a lot of "first" with Bird. 

First time....

1. being in love with someone from work

2. saw flock of white birds in a beautiful formation

3. saw some rooster and hens in a park

4. experience the lunar eclipse right above us

5. saw swallow grinning at me and knowing they are really agile Bird

6. watching a sky full of stars 

7. watching sun rise on a mountain as we drink hot milo in the cold

8. walking into a mossy forest

9. so touched by a poem 

10. Flying paper aeroplane on a roof top

11. first time singing and recording a song for someone

12. going up Genting in shorts and tank top with no room to sleep in

13. eating in a "tree" house

14. realise that stinyray is not triangle in shape

15. 8 hours or more walk in a park

16. met family of toucan birds, parents feeding the young

Immerse in Play

Bee is just like a kid sometimes..or rather most of the time.
Sometimes it's only being a kid..that you could feel bliss and joy for the moment.
Wasn't the most happy just moments before these photos were taken..
thinking, worrying too much of the future.
But just a few moments later..while immersed in play..climbing the slope, catching the beautiful sight of the sunset.. I've forgotten about worries and just being a bee playing n the field..

COokie Rolls & LoVe

yeah!! I got a lovely surprise of full range of flavours for my childhood favourite!
from Bird! So touched that Bird gave me a surprise with pears and cookie rolls..
especially when I thought we wont be meeting today. (Though secretly I was wishing Bird could appear beside me while I slept my day away..hehe woman being woman tends to be in a bubble sometimes..the feeling of being safe, loved and cared..nothing can replaced that)
This brings a thought to my mind..
I'm what I'm..I don't have to be strong because I have to.
I need to feel secure, loved, cared..and its alright because its not something like the stars that I'm asking for. So I'm not asking for too much. Sometimes I tend to bash myself up for desiring to be loved or cared. Simply because I drew a line that I shouldnt be so dependent on people.
But Bird makes me realise that I'm just a simple woman who long to be cared for too. And it's priceless. It's the simple things that makes me smile:)

oh this is a present from Bird since I finished reading my owl book

 

Have been wanting to fill this space and share the simply joy I had over the weekend. (You know too many a time we tend to remember so least of the good time we had, so I want to remember it all)

So filling this space is so important for me to remember the beautiful:)

Had a great time being lost in one of local's oldest housing estate..walking around trying to navigate with a iphone map to find the way to the Cafe which I have only read online. 

The sun was hot yet that feeling of being lost feels perfectly alright at that moment because somehow I know we will find our way there. It's just a matter of time and how. 

Writing this makes me relate to how having faith is so important. 

Feeling lost, but with faith..we trot on.

And viola! with some help of the O wise Bird reading of map, we managed to reach the pretty well hidden cafe in a row of old housing. It looks pretty of course. A stylish mix of new and old. 

We had cakes. We read. We snap pictures after pictures. We dream of having that one space that belongs to us one day:) And we smile. And we dream.

Voila! Bee go round changing this space

voila! restless bee got inspired to beautify this space here last night after browsing through a number of blogs (which I cant really remember) almost the whole yesterday in between doing mundane job at job :P hehe.. So I picked a few template, downloaded it and upload! Simple! But as usual Bee when not thinking is really blank! Only after I uploaded the new template that I realise a few words at a corner right at the top of the page! "Backup template" AWW oOps! I forgot to download my existing template that I have been using for months! so there it goes! Gone! And the new template that I uploaded have such huge red fonts that I just can't stand looking at it! So..went on a round of "purifying" this space here! And it turns out to be blessing in disguise..I changed the colour of the fonts here and the images I used! it's really simple! but I kind of self admiring it at the moment! And dreaming of pretty girlish things to be uploaded here with this pastel colour as the background! I'm just looking for some colours that matches soulbirds well, soulfulness:)

Bird made me hot chocolate drink and told me becareful not to spill!
Just right the next moment, I dunk the mug cover into the hot chocolate while trying to cover the mug!
Bee is fast! Bird is getting used to such episodes! haha

A morning of my life

Was reading a book about a Barn Owl named Wesley and his little princess Stacey, a biologist who kept this wild owl at home because Wesley has problem living in the wild with a wings not so suited for flying. And here's the interesting part: Wesley love water though typical owl would have kill you if you knock it down a pool of water! But here's a snap shot of Wesley in Stacey's bath tub taking a bath like a duck!!! This makes me laugh and charmed by these loveliness of our animal friends.

And just as I'm in my own little world with Stacey and Wesley..the bus I'm on broke down. Remembering what Bird always say about being in the moment, appreciate the moment. I got to the back of the bus stop and snap a few shots of the sun from the park where I alighted waiting for the next bus. So yea..it's well and fine.

Reached office with these creamy chocolate swiss rolls on my desk! Cakes my favourite!
hehe thank you Bird!  They looks like earthy hills! I was imagining "planting" a few greens on it!

Museum trip

Brunch @ Sushi Express..before going to Art Science Museum:)
Without a menu, not hassle. Just simply sushi! Get it from the belts!
They are actually pretty nice and exotic with I would say much more creative sushi variety!
Bird get to eat his favourite exotic taste Sea urchin!
Cant wait to have another round of sushi as I'm talking about it now!

Bird of words! Caught this pic in Van Gogh's exhibition where his works are being flashed on tall wide walls in the exhibition space! Filling up the ambiance and bringing visitor into another dimension!
We actually dance a few steps in it! and lay on the floor to look at the huge painting of stars!

Didn't expect us to come out so late! We actually spent hours in the museum! Worthwhile though! Had a great time:)

oh here's a little doodling while resting our feet and having a little snack to ease the hunger!

Lights create such different dimension to space.
And here's a little I learnt from the trip, especially from such differences between the two great artists; Dali and Van Gogh:
1. Don't lump problems together... Tackle them individually & break them into manageable parts.
2. Love yourself more than your art because you have a soul and with this soul you can infuse your art with spirit to give them life.

These are some notes I told Bird randomly about how I felt about the artist and how I can relate to them..over another day's mcdonald dinner! Cant remember what I said as usual!
